The technique is very good and the concept is strong. I like how you paid attention to the color of her outfit and matched her with a pink backpack. My concern is that a young woman who makes a superficial effort to match their backpack with their clothing, particularly the color pink, would be more prone to contemporary entertainment instead of classical entertainment like reading. This isn't even a criticism, just something to consider. It's important to understand social correlations and behaviors when depicting people, unless of course it was your intention to purposefully address this stereotypical profiling.

This photo manipulation shows a strong imagination. I'd like to see the fantasy environment tied into the book more. As if, her reading this magical book transforms the environment around her. To tie the book more into the involvement of the changing environment, maybe you can have the book emitting a light on her face. This would imply it's mystical capability in creating the surreal world around her in conjunction with her imagination. You could also have bits of fairy dust, sparkling off of the pages of the book. I think this would improve the relationship between her and her environment. As it is currently, there's no clear catalyst to why the environment is changing.

The last suggestion I'll make is introducing a sense of danger. What if you had water starting to pour in through the door? This would even further exemplify the power of her imagination even to the point that her imagination is so strong it can become dangerous. It would also create a greater emphasis on her being engulfed by the book. She's so enthralled by her novel that she's ignoring the imminent flooding subway car.

These suggestions are only made to draw a greater correlation of cause and effect between the subject and her environment. If her reading the book has nothing to do with her abnormal surrounding, then by all means ignore my suggestions. If the book is suppose to be the catalyst of this environment, then adding a few techniques to show the book's ability or her imagination's ability would make a clearer message.
